The Braid Bar, founded in 2014 by Artist Sarah Hiscox and Creative Director Willa Burton, counts Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Mabel Mcvey, and Zara Larsson as just a few of it’s fans. It was featured on Vogue.com in ‘5 Things We Loved at London Fashion Week 2015’ and has been written about in countless other major publications such as Harpers Bazaar, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times Style and The Evening Standard.
The Braid Bar first opened in February 2015 and is located in the heart of the Beauty Workshop of Selfridges, London. The idea was a free-standing bar, offering quick and affordable braids from an a-la-carte style menu.
The concept of The Braid Bar is very similar to that of a blow dry bar, but less time consuming, cheaper and hassle free. Simply choose from our menu of signature styles and one of our brilliant braiders will work their magic (no hair washing). The braids vary from 15 – 45 minutes (depending on how intricate the style is). Your look can also be accessorised with glitter, hair rings and extensions at a small additional price.
Since opening The Braid Bar, Sarah and Willa have gone on to publish their best selling how-to guide, ‘The Braid Book’, now available on Amazon and soon to be available via our own e-shop.
