Your DIY guide to the Holly braid – one of our festive favourites from our Christmas glitter menu!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Pin tail comb
Palmer’s curl cream
Paw paw gel
Now let’s get braiding….
STEP 1: Use a pin tail comb to section the hair into two parts, with a diagonal parting at the front of the head and central parting at the back. Clip one side away.
STEP 2: Prep the hair with Palmer’s curl cream and comb through.
STEP 3: Begin Dutch braiding. Click here for a refresher on how to Dutch braid!
STEP 4: Secure the end of the braid with an elastic.
STEP 5: Neaten the braid by spraying with holding spray and smoothing with a pin tail comb.
STEP 6: Repeat steps 2-5 on the other side…
STEP 7: GLITTER TIME! Using a brush, cotton bud, or your finger, add paw paw gel to the sides of the braids.
STEP 8: Finally, add your choice of chunky glitter! We love In Your Dreams and here have used their “Rainbow Deity” glitter.
And there you have it, the coolest hair at the Christmas party in under 30 minutes!! Spritz with more holding spray to keep the sparkle in tact a little longer!
